PROMOTIONS
IANTD Advanced Nitrox DiverThe IANTD Advanced Nitrox Diver program qualifies divers to dive to 42m and to perform required decompression stops for up to 15 minutes using nitrox mixtures up to and including 100% oxygen as a decompression gas, subject to a PO2 limit of 1.5ata. What do I need to start?
You will complete the IANTD Tek Lite theory with your instructor, including content on oxygen exposure tracking for technical & gas switch dives, equipment set up & configuration, physiology & decompression as well as a gas switch decompression dive planning workshop. You will then move to our 5.5m indoor heated pool (or a suitable confined water site abroad) where you will learn the skills required to safely conduct decompression, gas switch dives using a twinset and stage cylinder. This session also gives you the perfect opportunity to put the equipment changes made in the workshop to the test. The IANTD Advanced Nitrox diver program culminates in 4 open water dives, during which you will demonstrate your ability to safely conduct at least two decompression dives to a maximum depth of 42 meters, including a switch to a rich nitrox mix to accelerate your required decompression. On each these dives you will carry out the drills which technical diving makes possible, including shut downs which enable you to deal with catastrophic gas loss in a safe manner and end your dive in a controlled manner. In doing so you will be becoming a self sufficient diver able to deal with buddy separation and/or equipment malfunctions. Now who says that ‘tech diving’ is dangerous? |
